Shortly after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001, the Arab American Community Coalition established a 24-hour confidential hotline with Arabic and English speakers to help community members. While originally established for the Greater Seattle area, the AACC has taken calls from throughout the United States and Canada. Today our help line is still manned 24 hours a day by volunteers who speak both Arabic and English. We have worked successfully and continue to do so with numerous cases providing much needed services from immigration attorneys to diapers. While the AACC is not a service provider we do provide referrals to services. Alliances with several organizations has made our advocacy work more effective. If you are in immediate danger, Phone 9-1-1 For non-emergencies, phone the Arab Hotline to report a hate incident, crime, or harassment. Referrals to legal advisors are also given. You will receive confidential support in Arabic or English. This is a 24-hour hotline, phone any time day or night!!! 24-Hour Arab Hotline with Arabic speakers available (206) 634-9001 |
